There is a Cochrane Symposium being held at DDW on Monday, May 9th from 4:00-5:30pm titled Controversies and consensus: how Cochrane reviews guide therapy in inflammatory bowel disease. The symposium will consist of the following talks:

    • Nilesh Chande (University of Western Ontario, London, ON) An evidence-based treatment algorithm for Crohn’s disease.
    • John Marshall (McMaster University, Hamilton, ON) Induction of remission in ulcerative colitis: a synthesis of data from Cochrane reviews
    • Antje Timmer (Bremen Institute for Prevention Research and Social Medicine, Bremen, Germany) Maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis: a synthesis of data from Cochrane reviews
    • Corey Siegel (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, USA). An evidence-based treatment algorithm for ulcerative colitis.
